About us

Meet the Founder

Flyover Aviation Analytics was founded in the winter of 2025 by Branson Heinz, a 20-year veteran of the airline industry, who sought to make aviation data approachable and easy to understand for all. With a strong passion for both people and data interpretation, he seeks to bridge the gap between the two. His collective background in revenue management, data analytics, business development, account management, and sales training, provides the foundation of Flyover Aviation Analytics.

Branson lives in Houston, Texas with his wife, his daughter, his dog, and his cats. When he isn’t running data analysis, he travels frequently, appreciates wine, and plays drums in three metal bands!

Our Guest Contributors

Brandon Druch is an aviation hobbyist with a special interest in airline products and business strategy. His interest in aviation began with his first flight in Midwest Express from MKE to MCO most likely on a DC-9 in 1992. Since then he has flown on 60 airlines, taking note of differences in hard and soft products and enjoying every experience. Brandon followed his interest in travel to earn his BS in International Hotel and Tourism Management and has worked in the industry for nearly 20 years. His experience ranges from hotels, tour operators, and travel management companies. Based in Boston, he most frequently flies Delta and Jetblue. He hates red eyes unless he can lie-flat, it’s his only requirement, soft product is much less important assuming the price is right. Of the 9 lie-flat business products he has flown, his current favorite is United Polaris (window bulkhead).

Our Purpose

Our Product Offerings

Airline related data come from many different sources. Our goal is to use it, break it down, and provide analyses that are accessible to not just a seasoned aviation professional, but also to those who have never been involved in aviation before.
Every analyses will come with breakdowns of data. We look at origin and destination (O&D), load factors, fleet utilization, and market trends to give our clients full visibility. These are presented in bullet points and paragraphs, but also charts and graphs too. No matter your preferred way of viewing the data, we can and will accommodate.
Flyover Aviation Analytics was born from the love of aviation. Our goal is not simply to provide data to our clients, but also to share our passion with our clients through visibility of aviation.
Passion for Aviation, Dedication to our Clients and Subscribers, and Interaction with our Community!
Flyover Aviation Analytics produces a minimum of two analyses a week focusing on topics mentioned. While some are free of cost, analyses that have a large number of data points will require a subscription to access.
No matter your business, if it requires commercial aviation analysis, we are there to support you. From airports, to tourism and city boards, to travel management companies, and everything in between, we are there for you. Cost of services depends on the project.

Our Analyses and Articles

Our data comes from a variety of sources: Cirium, Diio, FMTravel, and the DOT T100 reports.
We look at all topics that impact the commercial aviation industry. We examine the way things are as well as trends over time. We mostly work with passenger number but also look at cargo trends. Topics we look at include: O&D, markets, schedule updates, load factors, capacity changes, cargo loads, and many more.
Absolutely! Subscribers are welcome to request a topic for a negotiated fee.
NO! Absolutely not. While we do use AI for grammatical purposes, our conclusions are ours alone.
Market sizes are listed non-directional averaged unless otherwise specified. Each set of data will have a time frame attached (usually, one years worth averaged).
We do not and even if we did, we are not a rumor mill. We will however provide analyses on more well founded and realistic rumors.
Because we use different data sets, they don't always agree 100% of the time but they are very close. There are also certain instances where data can be miscounted such as making a connection in another country to fly a domestic itinerary (ex. Seattle-Vancouver-Chicago). These are very uncommon and amount to only a couple of passengers a week, but they do happen. Things such as this can make the percentages slightly different. All things considered we ask for a 2% margin of error for consideration.
